Learn More About Lauren
In addition to my private practice, I serve as an art therapist at two renowned New York City hospitals in outpatient clinics where I work with clients of all ages and demographics who are dealing with chemical addictions. Additionally, I am a consulting art therapist for a New York hospital hospice program, leading art therapy bereavement groups and home-based end-of-life treatment. My hospice work continually reaffirms the human capacity for joy, connection, insight, wisdom and healing after loss and at any stage in life.
Before becoming a Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT, ATR/BC), my history was filled with art and communication across a variety of backgrounds. With experience that includes a two Graduate degrees from NYU Steinhardt School (art therapy) and Columbia University SIPA (international affairs), three-years experience in the Peace Corps as well as a work as a consultant for international economic organizations in West Africa, my art therapy practice is deeply informed by my education in world affairs and belief in human potential.
